Tomáš Kolomazník / Co-Founder & CEO
He completed his studies of sociology and ethnology at Charles University and received his doctorate in sociology. In the period 1994 – 2000 he worked in Ministry of Defence, Foreign Liaison Office as the dean of the department, he was responsible for bilateral co-operation. He participated in the International Training Course at the Geneva Center for Security Policy, 2000 – 2001. From 2001 – 2005 worked as deputy head of bilateral department at Security Policy Division. He was responsible for the Euroatlantic region. After leaving the Ministry of Defence works in the field of market research and security. It deals with issues of globalization, security policy, cyber defence and defence industry. He is a member of the security community by the Geneva Centre for Security Policy Alumni Association. He participates in various projects in the field of security and international policy.
Zdeněk Rod / Co-Founder & CEO
Zdeněk Rod is a CEO of the Center for Security Consulting in Prague. He is also an assistant professor at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Department of Politics and International Relations. He is also a member of various think-tanks such as CEIAS, TOPAZ or Young Security Conference. Zdeněk’s expertise lies in security studies, conflict resolution, hybrid threats, and strategic communication. His academic journey has included studies at universities in Ljubljana and Budapest and the European Security and Defence Colleague in Brussels. He has undertaken research visits, including one to the NATO CIMIC Centre of Excellence in The Hague. Before his academic pursuits, Zdeněk contributed to the Czech Ministry of Defense, bringing practical experience to complement his scholarly endeavors. He has a rich publication history, having authored and co-authored numerous academic and policy articles. His contributions extend to active involvement in national and international research projects.
Nerea Ruiz / Chief Operating Officer
Nerea Ruiz studied Business Administration at Deusto Business School in San Sebastian (Spain), and she spent some period studying at the University of Ljubljana. She then started her career in the Czech Republic, where she gained experience in big international corporates and developed excellent communication and client relationship skills.
Sarah Černíková / Editor-in-chief
Sarah Černíková has a degree in International Relations and European Studies from the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Her research interests lie in European policies, and she is particularly interested in central Europe, especially the V4 group, and the position of its states in the European Union.
Petr Kolomazník / Public Relations
Petr is responsible for communication on social networks. He provides administrative and organizational support for individual events organized by CSC. He also prepares background materials for the communication activities.
